About us

The Deutsche Rollsportjugend (German Roller Sports Youth) is the youth organisation of the German Roller Sports and Inline Federation (Deutscher Rollsport und Inline-Verband e. V., DRIV). It brings together children and young people from ten sports, from artistic roller skating to scooter, in more than 400 clubs all over Germany.

Asphalt and concrete are our playgrounds. Whether you are a laid-back skateboarder, an elegant artistic skater in a sequinned costume, a hockey player under heavy protective gear or a speed skater in an aerodynamic suit: what connects all of us when we roll is room for friendship, adventure and having a say.

Our vision

We want to support young people from all roller sports with a range of formats. Our vision is to invest in the future of young people, on wheels and around them.

What we stand for

  • Stronger together. Cohesion in the team, the club and the group matters to us. We all contribute to our sporting and shared successes.
  • Fair and respectful. We stand for treating each other with respect, fairness, tolerance and reliability.
  • Honest and real. We promote diversity in and through sport, regardless of culture, age, gender, physical ability, sexual identity, disability or religion.
  • Clear in our stance. We take a clear stand for our democracy and against the far right.

Everything else is in our mission statement (PDF, in German).

What we do

We look after everything that goes beyond a single sport: youth work for all ten disciplines together. We support clubs when it comes to young members and funding for projects, and we show what young roller sports stand for. For example:

Get involved

For us, sport drives personal development: having a say, taking responsibility at holiday camps, getting involved in youth exchanges, showing roller sports in the media and connecting online. We set our own topics and shape roller sports together.
